The initial stigma suffered in the mobile arena after manufacturers over hyped poor quality services and slow connections has now gone. We’re seeing a plethora of good quality, fast and reliable services – such as news feeds, instant messaging, gaming and e-mail – that work on run-of-the-mill handsets as well as more sophisticated 3G phones. Mobile internet certainly opens up new ways for businesses to reach a greater audience – in a fun and unique way.

Companies have generated great results by offering their respective products and/or services through reverse auctions. Aimed at the right audience, reverse auctions can serve as a cost effective marketing tool and allows vendors access to buyers who are normally inaccessible.
